ARC-54 is the second release in the ARC series — a collaboration between Bowmore and Aston Martin — a joint exploration of the outer limits of whisky maturation and design.
Limited to just 126 decanters, each contains some of Bowmore’s oldest whisky — distilled in 1968 and aged for 54 years — a remarkable feat of hyper-ageing for an Islay single malt.
The decanter’s design is inspired by the experimental forms explored by Aston Martin in its pursuit of building the fastest road car in history — the Valkyrie. The hypercar’s design is defined by its arrowhead nose, similar to that used on helicopters, and the double Venturi tunnels that run along the entire underside of the car. These details help to create maximum downforce and manage airflow around the hypercar when travelling at speeds exceeding 220 mph — a triumph of engineering that results in a beautifully aerodynamic form.
